What to Do

Camp St. John at Neptune's Lookout

The gorgeous Neptune’s Lookout (Susannaberg Sugar Mill) is a constantly growing and developing piece of paradise on St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands. It is roughly half way between Cruz Bay and Coral Bay on Centerline Road. It presently serves as the only functioning campground on St. John, and is one of the least expensive ways to stay on the island, especially with such a unique experience and location. Neptune’s Lookout is available for, and plays host to some amazing events throughout the year – some free, and some ticketed events (be sure to check your desired dates with our camp concierge when booking).

From camp, you can easily take a five-minute walk across Centerline road to Shambles, a fully-functioning bar and mid-island hotspot, or catch a ride (hitch, or take a bus or safari from the near-by stand) into Cruz Bay (about a 5-10 minute drive). Visit some close-by local food stands during the day, or use our on-site amenities to eat at camp! You can also hike down to Jumbie Beach from camp (quite steep, use caution).
